The Career Development Voucher Program will support up to $5,000 on a competitive basis to mid-level faculty. This will consist of but is not limited to salary support, travel expenses for a conference or an opportunity to take research-related to perform one-month rotations in outside laboratories to learn new techniques, or to engage in any number of other creative initiatives that will advance your research careers.
One goal of this program is to increase the number of Mount Sinai faculty applications for the NIH K24 (Midcareer Investigator Award In Patient-Oriented Research), an NIH program designed to support Associate Professors in the mentoring of junior faculty. We believe our mentorship program will create opportunities for Associate Professors to flourish as mentors and will position them to apply for this prestigious award.
Requirements: Mid-level faculty who are Center Members are invited to apply.
Instructions: Please submit a brief letter of interest, purpose for funding and amount requested to NIEHSCoreCenter@mssm.edu. Applications will be reviewed between 4/27/16 and 3/31/2017, but awards will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
